Apotex`Research Pvt. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apotex Inc. Canada which is a number one generic pharma co. in Canada. The position is for Bangalore location which has an R&D Centre, Manufacturing and a Bioequivalence Centre.
Designation: Duty Medical Officer
Job Description:
- Conducts duties following established Apotex Research Pvt Ltd., Bioequivalence Centre`s Standard operating Procedures and in a manner consistent with the appropriate regulatory guidelines, GCP requirements and safe work procedures.
- Responsible for the screening and in-study assessment and medical care of all potential volunteers/subjects.
- Conducts screening of potential study volunteers
- ) Interviews potential volunteers
- ) Performs physical examination , including Medical history of the potential volunteers/subjects
- ) Assesses the previous history of the study volunteers
- Reviews screening results and assesses volunteer suitability for entrance into studies.
- Provides medical counseling to volunteers with abnormal screening results.
- Confirms subject comprehension of the study activities and ensures Informed consent is given prior to entry into study.
- Oversees and assists in the administration of test articles.
- Assesses subject’s adverse events and provides appropriate medical follow up
- Withdraws subjects as necessary to protect subject in consultation with the clinical investigator/Principal Investigator
- Reviews subject monitoring and safety data during the conduct of the study
- Performs end of the confinement assessments and discharges subjects from the study site
- Works and liaises with external medical services as required for appropriate adverse event follow up.
- Supervises the management of medical emergencies and approves the use of on site necessary emergency and medical equipment.
- Performs delegated acts as per delegation statement
- Supervises the activities of nurses for rendering medical services to the subject at the clinical facility.
- Executes other duties as may be assigned by the Clinical operations Management /delegate as training and experience allow.
Desired Profile :
- M.B.B.S[ Freshers can apply]
- Current experience in patient care and basic life-support
- Familiar with ICH GCP guidelines.Candidates interested to make a career in Clinical research [BA/BE studies] can apply.
