(Admission Info) NIFFT PDF and Ph.D Admissions 2010 Post Doctoral/Doctoral Programmes

National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), established in 1966 with assistance from United Nations Development  Programme (UNDP), has been accorded lead  institution status by National Programme Implementation Unit (NPIU) under Ministry of  Human Resources Development Govt. of India.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for various programmes as detailed below:

Post Doctoral and Doctoral  Programmes:  ( PDF & Ph.D)

The Institute’s main emphasis is on Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry, Forge & Allied materials processing technology, Environmental Science & Engineering, Computational Materials Engineering, Pure and Applied Sciences. The selected PDF candidates will also be required to assist in teaching and upkeep of the laboratories.

Eligibility:

Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF): Ph.D degree in Science/Engineering.

Ph.D:  (i) Master’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology or Master’s degree in  Science or equivalent in a relevant discipline with 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 in aggregate

(ii) The candidate must have a valid Gate score or must have been admitted to the M. Tech programme with a valid Gate score. For admission to Ph.D programmes in Science/Humanities/Management the candidates must have a NET Fellowship (UGC/CSIR) valid from the current year in relevant areas.
